BEIJING -(Dow Jones)- China has suffered from rising trade protectionism since the outbreak of the global financial crisis, the official Xinhua News Agency cited Ministry of Commerce spokesman Yao Jian as saying over the weekend.

"The United States in particular, its trade dispute with China is increasing," Xinhua quoted Yao as saying.

Yao said that 19 countries launched 88 probes into Chinese products in the first nine months of this year, involving $10.2 billion worth of goods. The number of probes and value of goods involved are up 29% and 125% from the same period a year earlier, Xinhua said.

In the first nine months of the year, the U.S. launched 14 probes into Chinese exports, involving goods worth $5.84 billion, up 639% from a year earlier, Xinhua said.
