SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- Japan's current account deficit reached 264.1 billion yen in December, the Japanese government reported Friday. Economists had been expecting a deficit of 148.5 billion yen, according to data compiled by Dow Jones Newswires. In the year-ago period, the country reported a current account surplus of 265.7 billion yen.
