TEL AVIV (MarketWatch) -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co., RRD the Chicago printing- and communications-services provider, swung to a fourth-quarter loss from a year-earlier profit on nearly flat net sales. The loss was $327.6 million, or $1.78 a share, compared with net income of $27 million, or 13 cents, in the year-earlier period. Adjusted earnings were 46 cents a share against 51 cents. Shares outstanding fell 13% to 183.6 million. Net sales were $2.72 billion versus $2.71 billion. A survey of analysts by FactSet Research produced a consensus estimate of 46 cents a share of profit on $2.75 billion of revenue.
